Make it a stress-free Christmas

Suzy King

Christmas has almost upon us and already there are so many companies feeling the pinch and stress of having less staff in the office – work will start to stack up and, for some, they’re busy doing other people’s work instead of their own!

Extremely organised staff that are trying to get as much done before they head off to be merry don’t always manage to get as much done as they would hope to.

That’s why that – at this time of year – many go onto Google and type the following words:

Virtual Assistant

We receive an increasing amount of enquiries year-on-year as people’s awareness is raised of what we offer: pay-as-you go assistance as and when you need it.

Based in East Malling in Kent, but working for clients all over the country, we help with general admin, posts on social media, prepare and post mailouts, update websites, manage diaries and even take phone calls acting as virtual receptionists .

We charge work by the hour, or on a per project basis. Whichever way you wish to do it, the advantage is that you’re not paying the overheads of an employee, and you won’t have to worry about Christmas either, as there is always someone from the team here for you!

In other words, you can get through any busy period stress-free with a little help from Miss MPS. See how you can say hello to a stress-free day by using our call answering service , or taking advantage of our contract-free Virtual Assistant services .

Ah, winter. The season of cozy jumpers, steaming mugs of tea and, for gas engineers, the annual game of heating roulette. The moment that first cold chill hits, homes across the nation come alive with the sound of boilers groaning back to life—or not. Phones ring off the hook as panicked voices fill the line: "My heating won’t turn on!" or the classic, "It’s making this weird clunk-clunk-wheeeze sound—can you fix it today?!" For gas engineers, this is peak season—a chaotic storm of urgent calls, overflowing job lists, and the impossible task of answering the phone while also diagnosing a misbehaving boiler. But who’s answering your calls when you’re knee-deep in radiators and wrenches?

Chilly toes, waking up early to defrost the windscreen, and leaving work to the already dark skies—these are just a few of the frustrations that come with winter. While it may not be the end of the world, it's all the little things. And despite the festivity and Christmas songs playing on the radio, staying motivated at this time of year can be challenging. I'm sure many of you can relate to me when I say this. At Miss MPS, we understand how important it is to maintain well-being, especially during the busy winter months. As virtual assistants, we support our clients by alleviating stress from overwhelming workloads and tight deadlines. We also help them take well-deserved breaks and spend time with loved ones. However, looking after ourselves while caring for others is just as essential. Here are my top tips for staying healthy and motivated this winter:
